Verónica Albin is a native of Mexico City and has lived in the United States since 1979. She has twenty years of experience in translation and holds certification in English<>Spanish from the American Translators Association (ATA). In addition, Vero has passed the senior level translation exam of the United States Department of State and the interpretation exam of the United States Department of Justice. She has been a member of the ATA English into Spanish grading team for the national certification exam since 1991. She has served the ATA in in the Certification, Ethics, and Conference Planning Committees, and she is currently a member of the Computerized Certification Exam Task Force. She is a founding member and past president of the Houston Interpreters and Translators Association (HITA), and former editor of the Transletter, the newsletter of the HITA.
